A Lake District road winding away into the distance. Again, this is a rework of a photo from my hard drive. I don't often do mono conversions, so any input is gratefully received.

Thank you for the votes and comments on yesterday's upload; I really appreciate them. Happy Saturday and thanks for looking Smile

This works well as a mono image, Anna.
The layers really draw you into the picture.

Excellent landscape Anna. I love the soft light on the gently receeding hills. Super.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Done a good job Anna ( is this part of the file enlarged, it as slight blocking in the shadows)

Thanks Ron. It's not been enlarged, so the blocking must have been caused by something in my conversion workflow (VERY likely, given my amateur status!)

Appreciate the feedback, as ever Smile

If it were mine I'd have done it slightly differently, but that's just personal.
I think you've done an excellent job; it's a fine conversion, a good composition, and a lovely atmospheric image.
Looks a bit like the head of the Newlands Valley, but I'm guessing.
Deserves Mark's Award, and here's another one.

It's nice - with good use of format. The receding tones of gray give much depth to the image.
