The second and final of the images from Bursledon Mill, the reason I posted this one is because of the way the sun is striking the arms of the mill as the sun rises above the trees.

Thanks for looking and to all those who clicked and commented on yesterday's upload! Have a great bank holiday!

Interesting. These subtleties do make a difference. It's close, but I think I prefer the slightly different framing of yesterday's version, but the light, and the cloud detail, in today's ! For me, the ideal exposure would be somewhere between the two. Whichever way you look at it though, it's a lovely image SmileSmile

P.S. Hope yesterday went well. I had a good day- kicked over loads of sandcastles ( only joking SmileSmile ..... there weren't any TongueGrin )

Lovely early warm light and colour, Mark. The soft clouds contrast well with the solidity of the mill. A beautiful, serene scene.

Lovely bit of light and I like how you can see the red tiled roofs and chimneys on the left it sets off the whole beautiful English scene Smile

I keep coming back to this image, and asking myself- How much would I like to be sitting there on a morning like that, looking across that pond? And the answer keeps coming back- Quite a lot !
So it has to get my award for this week.

Yes, the added sun on the windmill arm is a nice addition to this scene.
