Vertigo

Thanks all, long exposure wasn't an option with this as holding the camera at arms length over the edge of the roof, trying not to look down as I don't like heights Smile

Her guardian........ by glenalva

Her guardian........

Again, I thought a real face had been very well superimposed on the statue, so makes the carving really quite unnerving. Well captured and processed.

Just happened to spot them chatting at History Live at Kelmarsh Hall. Caught my eye as they just seemed to stand out.

Tranquil Spaces V by whipspeed

Tranquil Spaces V

I did think of that, but wanted to leave it wonky as it is how this building is, rather than it being camera distortion. I don't think there is a straight line in there. Lucky to see it as well, as not usually open to the public, but the lady I was visiting is part of the group that is helping to preserve it.

Tranquil Spaces III

Thanks Chrissie, that's what I was aiming for, trying to recreate the peace that this building seems to give out.

Tranquil Spaces II by whipspeed

Tranquil Spaces II

Thank you for your thoughts on the image. This image has indeed been cropped. The left hand side of the original is just goes to the corner & back into and empty side wall, missing the window that you see in yesterdays image, (which is uncropped, but taken from slightly further back than this image) and the right hand side is just a plain wall. So all that has been removed for this crop is empty wall space.

Thank you both. This church for me is perfect in its simplicity. This is what I've tried to capture.

Thanks all, glad you liked it. As soon as I looked out of the bedroom window this morning, I knew I had to take my camera to capture this bandstand on my way to work.

Thanks all, did this for a camera club comp in a couple of weeks time. Subject is 3 of a kind, so have to submit 3 individual images then present the 3 as a tryptich.
