Went on a trip yesterday with a few fellow photographers from Wellingborough to Bedford embankment. Didn't get many shots I liked, but took the opportunity to have a go with my recently purchased 9 stop filter.
I think the main problem for me photographing there is the amount of background distractions, which I hate. ie parked cars, bins, rubbish etc. Plus the fact that I have trouble seeing something as an image when doing landscape shots. Oh and the fact it was pouring with rain and the wind was blowing somewhat.

Hi, you certainly slowed the water down with the 15sec exp. With regards to seeing landscape shots a few things to remember is that the rule of thirds can always be broken (look up the "Golden Spiral" on the net). You can have more sky than land or the other way round depending where the interest is. With water you can get good shots with a third water, a third buildings and a third sky. Also look for a lead in point to take your eye through the shot. Oh yea, one more thing, there will be a million people who will tell you something else. You've got a good captured shot of water movement here, Well done. ![]()
