This was taken on Sunday at Vulcan rodeo, Alberta. It shows Dakota Bird barrel racing. I have seen her ride a number of times, and have uploaded shots of her previously. She is in her early teens I guess, so she competes as a junior. I don't believe that I've seen anyone take on a challenge with the same degree of drive, confidence and commitment. I would like to capture just a bit of that and pass it on in my pictures.

You caught herat the apex of her turn, with just enough dirt splatter to achieve an almost slo-mo feel. Brilliant image, well done.
