Art installation at Dysart basically some bits o wood lol but iam not Arty
I believe that the image is more Arty than the sculpture itself. But then again I thought that the Shard was nothing more that a large Airfix Kit that had gone wrong...
Love the starkness of this
The composition, crop and processing, now that's art...
As for the installation, if it engages people's attention and makes them look afresh at the landscape then it succeeds in my book.
Dysarts changed fae ma day Rod. Daenae ken if its art, but in the past these were cried props and a lot togethrr was cried a wood.
Fotaes really great, like the starkness and minimal look works really well in mono
Aye true Eric Never thought of that actually they may be pit props !!! Will try and find oot . If they are that would be pretty cool
Sorry to disappoint but I love it! And it makes for a superb photo...
Makes a great photo my mate.
..as for "art" ... I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder n all that!
Isn;t it strange, no matter how cash strapped a council / government, they will always pour a load of money into art projects.
In Weymouth , where they are now turning lights off at midnight to save money, they recently put a load of boulders on top of eight foot steel poles..cost of £300,000.
on Portland, which is the poor relation of Weymouth & Portland borough council.....there is an 18 million pound installation being built..where a bell will ring everytime a species goes extinct.
Personally, I;d rather see the money spent on "people" but hey..... thats revolutionary I guess :-p
Anyway...great image buddy.
Rod the processing is great, you have gone selinium I take it? The more you look at the image the more you see. I would rather look at this than a pile of boulders or bricks.
Nah just messed about wi contrast and a few other levels in Lightroom Cliff Thanks for the comment
Some people think they are artists, some know they are artist, others are artist! you are one of the latter! well done Rod, regards Leon.
looks like it blocks a good view
Well recorded my friend, but things like this arty farty stuff do my head in!!!!!!!
Yup i know but suppose its doon tae personal taste but as Gareth said earlier could the money be spent better ???
Simple but effective image
your art is better than theirs. great hi-key image........................keep that lens!!
