B/W reworking of an earlier image
This is quite a nice scene. For me the processing is overdone and it appears over sharpened. This may have been the look you were after to create an almost monochromatic Alien landscape however it is just too contrasty for me.
I like this image and what you have done here Rod !!
Aye Paul you may be right I don't think i oversharpened the image though i have made that boo boo in the past lol but thanks for the comment
Very moody and dramatic Rod, this is just me, a crop of the left side to the right up to the silver line????? still a great mono.
Aye Cliff thought that masel but decided to leave some water in it .
Super clouds Rod, very dramatic , its a super image but I cant quite figure out that silver line, High contrast is great , a very nice scene...John
Just the sun hitting the water John
like the line of the sun hitting the water, looks like ye were creating dark holes in the clouds here Rod, I hope its nae a mirror lookin doon on Fife...as for the whiskey a good choice indeed ...Leons broad band been down most of the day he was in full rant mode !!!
A wonderfully dramatic and somewhat powerful composition, which works superbly well in monochrome. Glad you approve of my Silly Sunday upload "Cheer mate"
very effective processing
Very dramatic and effective. I find Cliff's idea about cropping worth trying to get a second image out of one.
Hi Rod, this is wonderful, makes those old John Constable skys look a bit week! Likee the low horizontal line, glad it didn't go all way L, would have cut the picture. Thanks, Si
Great photo and I like the edit on the sky.
have you retired!!!
I think the stark contrast, in monochrome, works wonderfully. Very dramatic photo.
You only get them skies in Scotland! great comp, looks fab in mono!
well done Rod.
