View out from Anstruther , hope that bloody horizon isnae wonky.
The horizon isn't wonky, Rod, it just looks it.
**** dinnae Jack . Am gonnae get crucified if it is
An intriguing capture Rod.
It's level to within about 1.3 seconds of arc, so I'll let it go. And there's a slight dip, roughly in the middle, probably due to lens distortion, but not enough to worry about.
Nice sky, and I like the composition as well. Attractive distribution of lights and darks. Not sure why you've gone for ultra high contrast though, and blocked out most of the detail in the rocks??
Just thought the high contrast made the image work better Alan , i quite like the graphic quality to this image
The 'dip' is down to light on the horizon. Just keep telling people that, with a totally straight face, and they might believe you.
Must be down to light on the horizon Alan ............................. thanks Mo
It actually looked like thin line of light reflection that "ate" part of the horizon to the left.
Loved the high contrast.

Point taken, and yes, I see what you mean. Also I think it might look interesting with about 1/2 of the sky cropped out, to emphasize the purely graphic quality even more. I'm not sure if that would really work though, might be too much .... just an idea, what do you think?

Yes, you're right, but I had to find something, I've got a reputation to live up to. Don't tell him though.
Horizon looks perfect tae me Roddy but ive jist necked a half bottle o Aberlour 10 year old!
A good concept with an interesting result.
Jist mind n vote bro
Alan , it actually works very well my man But thats for another time . At this precise moment in time am gonnae wallow in the warm narcotic haze of knowing this particular horizon wisnae wonky
NAW im no gonnae vote fur a pic that i dinnae like. far too high contrast stuff fur me. thats ma constructive crit bro. bye
Wonky ? Naa - it's perfect Rod A great image this one is then !
Love this composition, wonky horizon or not! This high contrast finish makes me want to reach for my coat as sitting here looking at it sends a chill through my bones, great piece of photography and processing.
Great mono landscape image here Rod. Horizon is perfect; sky 69mm all the way across on my monitor.
Cheers peeps Heather , very kind words
