Wot nye pooch?
Not to fussed on this composition Rod! too much uninteresting foreground.
Great shot Rod, love the two figures on the beach
Yeah i know what you mean Trev but i thought the usual crop might be a bit boring . I kinda like the big chunk of foreground sand.
The figures are perfectly placed to make a good comp.
Like the 'distance' shot.
Love the punchy high contrast here Rod.
Nice image Rod
Beautifully observed and so very well photographed Rod... "Superb photography"
Unlike Trev, I love the sense of emptiness and the scale provided by that foreground. Having been there, I can associate with the loneliness seen here.
Agree with saltireblue's comments and would be tempted to crop a little from the top to remove the house and increase the feeling of isolation.
Cheers Malc that was my take too ..........we all hae different viewpoints tho

I wouldn't crop the top, but perhaps clone out the house instead.
Yeah i dont clone Malc It is what it is
I do like this image, Rod. Good sense of emptiness and isolation, agree it would be amplified without the house, but is true to what it is.
Hi Rod, can see all of the above and get it, but if it if aint broke then don't fix it, and it's not. Si
I like it mate.... I think the expanse of sand & the conversion to mono give this a kind of surreal feel........... the people give it scale.
Each to their own I guess.
emptiness in his very splendour .. excellent capture Rod
great shot, Rod. seen mine? page 3, lh side. similar concept.
Yes i remember it well Phil (always got to be about you) only yours is wilder and grander
now, now, play nicely.
WELL IT IS You still got a hoose btw
you are very aggressive. it upsets my quiet and delicate southern sensibility. you woad wearing, claymore wielding, tartan selling, english mangling, whiskey distilling, (not all bad) shortbread eating, pale skinned, underwear challenged heathen. the other half says you are right. it is ALWAYS about me. but she is Ginger and of irish/scots extraction, therefore untrustworthy and probably in collusion.
