Here's a Cormorant which I photographed while on the Barn Owl Workshop with Nigel Pye. This bird had just had a swim in a small pool and is drying himself off with a brisk shake Smile

Excellent image considering the 2x teleconvertor, what do you find is the sweet spot of that lens and the 2x.

Hi Gareth, use this lens at f/8 and that keeps it nice and sharp. The long focal length keeps the background blurred even when the aperture is stopped down so far. I would prefer a Canon 500mm or 600mm of course, but I can't quite afford one yet Wink

Thanks mate, it was 1/800 sec @ f/8 with ISO 320
