Shot taken during a recent gorgeous sunset. I tried to capture a sense of movement of the incoming tide. Would appreciate any comments.

A nice seascape. It's shame you did not use the polariser to remove the wet water/reflections on the foreground rock as this is distracting. Otherwise it's a cracking shot and a very good effort! Good use of ND grad filter or am I mistaken...

Nicely composed with good timing. Nice to see that you used the sunset, rather than try to fill the frame with it.

Thanks for your great comments.

Olivier: I went out and forgot all my filters so couldn't do anything about it. I took two seperate exposures and combined them in CS afterwards to retain detail in the sky.

The lighting is fantastic. The movement in the water is great. Did you get your feet wet?

Richard

Lovely Smile I'm guessing, though, that you didn't use any Lee/Cokin filters to darken the sky? You might have got more detail in the rest of the shot if you did. I'm not sure if that would have made it better, but I'd have been interested in the comparison..

Great capture Tony, full marks for not shooting the sunset, but getting the wonderful colour of it reflected on everything else !
