A shot taken a couple of weeks ago locally, I applied Velvia Vision to the image and I really like the boost in contrast and saturation of the colours. What do you think? - does it look like "Its been manipulated?" - I hope not, its the effect I've been trying to replicate for a while now.

Thank you so much for my last uploads generous comments, very humbling!
Any comments on this pic very welcome.

What a belter!

The velvia action you've chosen seems to have worked well! It does, perhaps, look slightly over saturated, but that could be more to do with the size your having to present it at here.

Beautiful indeed. I'd be interested to know where you got your Velvia Vision from and how much it cost..
cheers, Paul

Perhaps a touch ott, but that's what velvis does (I think it looks similar to 'proper velvia' shots I've seen on here). It works well, and the texture of the sea is wonderful, as is the cloud line on the horizon.

Thanks for your comments already.

Paul: You can only get Velvia Vision from Fredmiranda.com downloadable for $24.90 so, at the current exchange rate its about 14. If you send me an email I'll give you all the details.

Beautiful shot. The contrasting colours of the sky and the sea work very well. I love the 'mist' effect.

doesnt look fake, looks like velvia, maybe a tiny bit over done.

Great exposure & atmosphere captured, lovely colours.

Great shot, maybe a little oversaturated, but not enough to spoil.

beautiful colours, like the misty water too, well taken. it certainly doesn't look fake and if manipulation is whats needed to get the result you are looking for then so be it, it's been done since the birth of photography so don't feel bad.

This is gorgeous, Tony. Click

Absolutlely brilliant. Much prefer this to yesterdays. Love the colours. Looks like it has been shot with Film using Velvia so you have definitely achieved the right effect.

This is a lovely shot and doesn't look overdone to me, but I like saturated pictures. Where did you get this Velvia approach from - it's different to the technique I've been using which was found on the Adobe web site.

I don't think it looks oversaturated. If it does then there are probably millions of film Velvia shots which need binning. :0)

Good composition and sky. The exposure is longer than I would prefer but it's still a good shot.

Thanks Ian, I used an "automate" action from fredmiranda.com called Velvia Vision. Its a sort of plug-in that you can try to recreate the properties of Velvia film.

The colours and the composition work very well. It looks a very goog natural photo (even if most of us so rarely see such rich colours).
