Yet another one, I know. I am a bit subjective about them all and think they are all great when they are not.

My first attempt at using Velia vision. To be honest I really like the shot. What do you think?

Thanks everybody for your helpful comments.

Andy: To be honest, its quite a poor pic without the velvia action. I kept all the settings on their lowest point except warmth which I increased to level 3. I'm still not convinced about the program yet but, on this pic I liked the end result. I'm only trying to replicate Velvia because IMHO you can't beat it and I havn't been able to come close to its results with digital. I loved the warmth to your "shadows" shot and the colours in "second light". Any advice would be appreciated.

I like this one. I think the foreground rocks really make it.

Jon

P.S. I've found the best way to get Velvia-like results - is to use Velvia!

Think I must have a purple thing going at the moment 'cos I think this is the weakest of your last few uploads, Tony. Think I must like bolder colours or something. Nothing wrong with the composition here - just personal preference I guess.

Thanks, Jon. LOL!

Iain, I'll see if I can find something with a bit more oomph.

Your comments are really appreciated.

Only just discovered your portfolio and it's very impressive indeed. I really like the way you use the long exposures. Can you please tell me more about Velvia vision.

Arfon: Its a action plug-in to replicate velvia digitally. It is only available from www.fredmiranda.com

This is my first attempt using it and I'm happy - so far. I think its like everything, you can't rescue a bad picture with it but, it can improve a good 'un.

Have to agree with Iain (claret). Not as strong as the first couple in the series Tony, but it is still a very nice shot indeed.

I can almost feel the back flow tugging at my ankles - well it was yesterday when I had my swim in Langland - great series

This is good - like the formation of rocks in front - leading to the sunset at the back

Hi Wilf,Re shadows that was shot with a warm up filter and an ND Grad,

As for Second Light,i changed the white balance in the raw file to cloudy which warmed it up more than my camera filter,

Hope that helps.

I like this very much Tony, the action on the water is superb, very busy, as if you can almost feel it moving.

Excellent.

I would have been happy with this but it lacks some punch compared to your other pics. But lovely work anyway.
