San Andreas by tepot

San Andreas

An interesting and well executed manipulation, but just a couple of problems. Firstly the San Andreas fault line runs to the East of the Golden Gate Bridge but your image shows a picture taken from the West side. So the Bay area would not drop, the ocean off land would have dropped. And secondly, why is a Canadian search and rescue helicopter flying in San Francisco ? WinkWink

Day Lily (Hemerocallis) by AnnChown

Day Lily (Hemerocallis)

Gorgeous colour.
I use frames quite a lot, I think sometimes that they enhance an image and give more atmosphere. But I can't help thinking that the
co ordinating border on this one is just a touch too much and distracts the eye from the impact from the flower.
In my humble opinion, it needs to either be a bit thinner, or a less vibrant colour.

You must have a beautiful and colourful garden Ann.

High but not dry. by Willpower

High but not dry.

Thank you all for your comments, much appreciated. I would have loved to have been able to get all of the boat in the frame, but as it was I was precariously holding on by one hand to a loose pole hanging out from a jetty. Another few inches and it would have been more than the boat that would have been wet. Smile

Lysimachia clethroides by AnnChown

Lysimachia clethroides

I like the way the main body of the bloom rises up from the back of the image and then diminishes towards the front.
Nice use of vignette.

However by the same token it slightly disturbs me as it looks like an octopus tentacle rising from the depths. Smile
