Popped down to The Bridge at Crossways, Dartford this morning. I was hoping for mist but instead was rewarded with no wind and perfect reflections, pretty rare on a major river.

That is a stunner Derek. I've never seen it this calm before, infact never seen a decent shot of this bridge full stop. Top job!

I have only photographed the bridge previously at sunset but knew that when low light hits the structure it takes on a pretty impressive red glow. I had a tense time waiting for the sun and praying that the wind didnt pick up though.

A slack tide and no wind - perfect conditions and a great angle on this bridge, Derek. If only I could get up that early GrinGrin

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen the Thames so calm either. You have caught it at exactly the right time Derek. Love the detail!

Not often a clear blue sky is welcome, but here it is perfect to highlight the shape of the bridge. Beautiful work Derek Smile

Perfect Derek, majestic image.

Rare indeed, you got a perfect mirror like reflection though, it looks fabulous. I've spent the past week in Valencia cursing ripples Wink

That's a superb image, Derek. I shake my head in wonder. Brilliant work and up there with your very best. I'm green with envy, m8. (No UA available at the mo so accept a virtual one and if we ever meet it'll be my round.)

great colours and composition. I've been over the bridge many times at all hours of the day and have never seen the Thames looking so good, it's usually a horrible muddy brown colour.
top marks for a top shot.

Impressive, Derek.

With the strong geomentry of the bridge and its reflection and the featureless, intense blue sky and water, I reckon that a mono conversion would be even better - if such a thing is possible!

Top work. Smile
