Perhaps I should have named this 'Beware of the Vulture'. Prior to making an appearance on the perches at the IBPC this little chap landed on a gate and I couldn't resist the contrast between the inviting garden in spring bloom and the aggressive stance and expression of the vulture. Hope you like it Wink

Oooh, he is pretty scary looking - as you say, such a contrast to what is beyond. Great capture, Alun.

Happy coincidence maybe but a great result, the bird is very angry indeed. I'd be keeping well away from these talons. Great image.

Great capture Alun - don't think I'd have got too close to him though !

Thanks for your response to this bit of fun. Huge thanks to Wolfy for his award - really chuffed with that!
Shaun - I was very impressed with the ICBP at Newent. It seemed to be a very well run place with excellent care taken of the birds. Came away with some nice snaps.
Chris and Dougie - It's at times like these that a 100-400mm just doesn't feel long enough!
Henrique - It certainly seemed to be issuing a challenge and really made for a dramatic entrance to the flying field!
Wolfy - Many thanks my friend. I think the gate may be slightly off level Wink

No probs Alun, its a superb timed shot indeed! Btw the gates fine but I think the Vulture's right wing is slightly off? Maybe just me its hard to tell Wink Tongue
