The Borough Market café, under the railway lines opposite Southwark Cathedral. There's a lot crammed into a tiny area here.
Thanks to Bob (KingBee), Malc (saltireblue), Andrew (Chiliman), and Joao_Lopes for suggesting a b&w conversion, for once it hadn't occurred to me and I think it works.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Thanks early birds. Dave, if you knew how much work has gone into the window view to get that bit of detail... !

The monochrome conversion works so well here Moira, with the chrome legs of the stools ruling the roost and the relaxed group resting and chatting.
Dougie
Remember the colour version well - prefer this one. The silhouettes stand out so much more without the distraction of colours outside the window.

I don't often say this but i think the mono works better
. The face profiles are all beautifully picked out with the rim lighting, and your attention immediately goes to their expressions.

Works for me, Moira, and toggling back to the original colour version, thinks this works better ![]()

The magic of this shot has to be the view point Moira, but also a nice bit of Mono for this every Day Life picture.

Well, I'm amazed to hear that in England there are these kind of cafès under the railways, too. Only last week I sat in one in Berlin and thought this was such a good way to use rare free spaces in a big town.
I just wonder - were you lying on your belly on the floor in order to get this pov???
An interesting thought, perhaps Bill comes up with the proof? ![]()
Johanna
No Johanna, the building is split level, I was sitting at a table on the mezzanine, looking through the banisters!
