Another shot with my new long lens. I liked the little island the, low cloud around the mountain and the mist hovering on the surface of Loch Leven and the 28-300 enabled me to get much closer in than I could have done with my other lenses.

V2 is a portrait crop just for fun. I very definitely prefer V1 this time.

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my recent uploads.

You've done it again Sue, I love both, for different reasons. V1 was the right choice to lead with though, but V2 just HAD to be done, it was crying out for itSmile
What a wonderful relationship between you and your new lens. Sensational!

You certainly are getting some amazing weather conditions up there, Sue, and getting to some wonderful locations, too. Your new lens seems to be doing you proud...but no matter how good the lens, it's the photographer behind the camera and the lens that makes the shot! And this is some shot, truly magnificent - like that little island, and it's reflections, dwarfed by the mountains. Love both versions, but think V1 has to be my fave.
More of the white stuff here again this morning when I got up - it was snowing a blizzard and about a couple of inches thick!

The dark almost silhouetted island with the bank of misty shoreline is super, as is the complimentary diagonals higher up the hillside. Truly beautiful composition exuding atmosphere.

Love them both but if I have to choose it would be V1 with that wonderful fog/mist between the mountains. Seems more of it in V1..........Sandy
