View from the guest bedroom at Woolybill Towers last Friday. The dried seed heads (Love-in-the-mist, nigella damascena) are in a pot on the windowsill. Window frame on left, curtain edge on right, as-seen. I always prefer to look at snow from indoors, even when the window-cleaner is overdue.

Superb shot Bill, definitely has to be seen large. I agree totally snow is definitely better seen from the warmth of your home, not that we get much down here, thankfully.

I'm with you on where best to view the snowSmile
This makes a wonderful image, and the dried flowers are just the right framing for it.

Your seed heads look like little aliens Bill !! And I agree with your take of looking at snow through a window indoors. But preferably from a pub !!
Good image.

The taproom window has been my favourite viewpoint for a long time, rarely with a view on a steep snowy hill though. Well taken.

Man that looks cold out there. Not like that where I come from. Quite the reverse. Great shot. Cheers!

Great control with the DOF Bill giving a good balance between clarity and blr for the background and it does feel considerably warmer knowing that we're inside.
But I'm struggling to spot the cannons? Wink

Love this totally unique and eye-catching image.
We'll take the snow, Bill. It's been hot and humid in Sydney.
A lovely Christmas to you and Moira,
Mac
