We couldn't help noticing, as we walked towards Newcastle Central Station yesterday morning, how some recently-laid paving stones had lifted in the frost. They must have been defrosting as they wobbled alarmingly when stood upon. But what are paving stones for, I ask you?

P.S.
Mrswoolybill was first to point out the shadows.
Misswoolybill was first to trip over them.
I was the first to point a camera at them.
I was the only one with a camera Smile

I will certainly not be voting for Moira on this one Bill. It's no good pointing things out if you haven't got your camera.

From the thumbnail I thought they were roof tiles, seems the paving stones have all been at it, mine look like that in the garden but not as attractive as your shot of course, great mono...

Like the way you have angled this image and the great light and shadows that the low light has given you Bill. Good work.
Hope Moria survived the trip.
Regards Richard.

''What are paving stones for'', you ask Bill ? Paving stones are to drop on your wifes foot after she has tripped over them. You then pursue a healthy compensation claim for said wife. But no doubt Moira will have a frosty reception for this one !! I thought they were roof tiles myself.Good off kilter take to give this impression.
Nice one.
Mick.
