Tatty and faded brass fuel filler on an elderly recovery truck (a Scammell I think) at the Seaburn Historic Vehicle Display on August Bank Holiday Monday. I just like the combination of tones.

I relied on the official programme for vehicle details, but half those present including were late entries - including this one. I have a couple more shots of it to upload at a later date; they both bear a plate reading "Gardner", but that is the make of the diesel engine not the vehicle Smile

Oh Bill, what a great laugh I had when I saw what this is! I thought you made up an UFO - excellent capture, very clear and very abstract. Love it,

I love all the details and tones in the brass Bill; but think I'd have cropped a little off the bottom and right and I'm intrigued by the chain that seems to be on the wrong side to prevent you from removing the cap?

A fine image of a little detail here Bill. Like the ''missing'' bits.
It is not too badly worn for its age I think. And the little chains have survived.Good tones and detail .Nice image.

Hi Bill,
This is something else! Superb piece of work! I would happily hang a large print of this on my wall (If I had space - they seem to be covered in photographs Smile)
A really nice observation and well executed too.
