At the far end of our garden a lone twig rises from the ivy on the fence. Taken yesterday; much the same today.
300mm, 1/200th sec. @ f5.6, ISO 500 +1.3 E.V.
A good example of minimalism here Bill.Plenty space around it.But you do need it for these riding crops !!
simple and effective
Quote: Simple and effective
Good minimal image. A
Minimalism at its very best IMHO. I think it would be superb blown up huge and on a wall.
Very simple and effective, a modern image if you like, would look great on a wall which Hugh has already said. - gary
Elegant with the single twig
High minimalism....love it.
It rises Triffid-like; power plant!
so simple but so effective Bill
I very nearly uploaded a similar shot today simple but beautiful, great shot, still deep in snow here with much more to come it seems......
Brilliantly simplistic Bill, but says everything!
Sorry, no new comment, it has all been said. Wonderful.
simplicity ...love it
Less is more Bill. I can see you poking the telephoto out of a gap in the patio doors, firing off a couple of shots and then wisely retreating to the warm.
excellent bit of minimalism, almost sumi-e, might be worth a B&W.
Simple is best, nice shot.
Lovely soft tones.
a minimalist's delight!
that's too much snow!
Wow - thanks, Mick! AnD V2 now added.
Nice, tender work...well seen and tsken!Works well in mono!Glad to be 30!
It's certainly worth bw. V2 is more poverfull in my opinion. Like it!
Tremendous Bill. It takes a good eye to make a photograph out of that but you managed perfectly well.
V2 works well for me Bill, nicely composed too.
I like the composition Bill and shallow dof. No1 as a preference.
Well you know how much I love mono, but I found my preference for v1 rather quickly here. I like the layers of pale blues and whites, rather than the very stark white "top" layer in v2 (you seem to have lost some definition there in the conversion).
Might I also add that this must be viewed large - very Zen and minimalistic.
The simplicity conveys serenity so well Bill, lovely image, Adrian
Vers.1 for me also.
I love the composition.
An excellent minimalist image Bill, my garden is covered with snow too
Excellent Bill; minimalist but effective and with a lovely glow to the sky
V2 for me Bill.
Missed this - v1 for me. Bob
There's a lot of it about Bill not many people photograph it though .
More detail in version 1 Keep warmxxxx
Minimalistic and effective, both of them.
I like this a lot Bill, particularly the less contrasty No. 1. John
Minimalistic, but with great effect. I love V2 with even less detail.
Simole and perfect.
