This is the end of the length of rope nailed to a pole in the garden of my brother's cottage. I have cropped out the knot that connects it to the washing line. No other trickery involved, not even a polariser. I was just taking advantage of the fabulous light that accompanied our recent long week-end away.

70mm, 1/1000th sec. @ f8, ISO 200, -1.0 EV.

We have a houseful of French guests arriving this afternoon for a week-end linked with our local Community Band so will not be uploading again before Monday.

this is what I would use the word stunning for. Is it the sky or is it a ship? Blue

For some reason it makes me feel that someone was climbing this rope on the other end and was not so lucky. Smile Excellent capture.

I suddenly remembered my days playing on a tarzan swing in the woods, this was what I saw after clambering back out of the beck.

Great photography !
