Looks like to might be in need of a service, Bill! A nicely framed shot...and some rust in there too for Mikbee!
A stunning reminder of our fishing heritage.
Ah! So that's the way to take this boat! Love the composition Bill.
Oooh, a lovely jaunty angle. Love the soft colour.
Makes me a little sea sick
Composition, subject and textures are great but it comes over as a bit dark and flat on my monitor. I think there is a lot more that can be had from this image given a little work. (I know, I tried).
A good record of decay here Bill, nicely composed for a powerful image.
Great angled shot.
I like the angle too, looks like one Mick would own. - gary
Love the blue and the rust. What is it about old boats that capture our hearts! Wish there were more old boats to photograph here in the US but a find like this would be rare. Patti
You have redeemed yourself 100% Bill,
after your brainstorm you had with your last grotty wooly upload !!
Been out to graze for somewhile with this bit of grot.
Excellent grot shot.
The Vital Spark has gone from this old hulk and I'm sure would more than a cup of Sunny Jim's tea to revive it.
What stormy seas and tidal races has this wee fishing boat fought and beaten in it's long life off the coast of our wonderful United Kingdom.
The rather sombre treatment works so well with the character of this decaying old timber vessel, Bill: yet you have recorded excellent tones, textures and details in the various parts.
Well captured, lots of decaying interest. A home for many little critters I think............Sandy
add this to your bonfire! the thing, not the image!
Excellent shot Bill.
ps, looks fine on my monitor.
I think we can safely say she has seen better times, Bill.
The way she is leaning over adds to the feeling of being tired and worn out, can't stand any more. The old carcass is no longer willing even though the hear - engine - may still beat.
You always make us investigate, good show
Excellent shot Bill - I find it sad to see such a decline there - might have been the boat I used to go out on
A very good shot Bill, and perfectly titled.
Rust, decay all the things I am a complete sucker for!
Think it might be just a loose wire!
Ooh...BRILLIANT composition and wonkiness, Bill
But I have to agree with Lynne about the darkness. Maybe a bit of fill flash in software?
Like the angle and muted colours Bill.
Nice one Bill, seen this boat so many times, you have done a great job on the pov, its different from the norm and i luv it.
love the old paint (& colour : this blue...)
don't think the water in this boat is hippopotable
Some wonderful angles to this, Bill - and I can see a very strong mono image in the making.
PS - see my comments in response to your and Moira's comments on my "Forth Bridge" upload. I hope you both don't think me too much of a fakir ........
"Captain on the Bridge"
I do admire your " view things as they are photography"
Excellent, very Dickensian, Bill.
A fine study of neglect and decay
