Good piece of social documentary and history of our time. I like both versions here and think the HDR style of saturation in the colour set adds to the sadness of the empty shop units. Being really picky I think if your reflection could be avoided it would be better however thats just personal preference and I am sure others would like the honesty of seeing the photographer captured in reflection. Really a good set of images that deserves more attention than I think it will get on here.

a very interesting piece of documentary photography. I like the reflections in the windows, esp. in Woolworth's. The mono works very well well too.

I like mono even better!Smile

Really like the mono. It harmonises better and seems to add to the sense of decay and dereliction.

The colour ones are fine, and work well as a composite, but the black and whites are just all too much the same tone. In b&w they work ok as individual images, but together I find it visually boring-my eyes just wander. The colour separates the images so my eyes rest on them in turn and look for details.

Really like the idea and a lot of the individual images. If I am being picky, I would have preferred them all to have been shot from straight on, or more attention paid to lead lines in the arrangement - the ones on the edges sloping towards the ones in the middle, and the ones in the middle straight on. Call me a neat freak if you like!
