I think V1. You cant escape the C being either Cancer or Cigarette, and if theres any doubt, the message is there in the text.

The others are good shots, but the message is not as direct and obvious.

Coincides with the passing of the 'Marlboro Man', Eric Lawson, although I have to say there are millions of more less known victims.

I shall agree with banehawi, but I also read this as 'Cigarettes Cause Cancer' which is more compact message.
There is no reason to me to tell somebody it is a dirty habit and imply there are dirty or 'why burn money'. Why photographers buy new cameras? Because they can, or because they like it.

Innovative framing on V2 and strong colour in V3. The Passer by should be heading away form the ciggie butt as supposedly being the person who put it down. It could also be called 'Put it down' or 'Leave smoking behind you'.

That's me done.

All good images, but if the aim is to discourage smoking, then V1 is really the only one giving that message to me.

Decent images. V1 is best as a message. I would have endeavoured to have the cig a bit brighter with a glow still there and a wisp of smoke to give maximum message.

V2 needs the cigarrette highlighting better. Difficult to see.

V3, would have got closer to the bin top making the cig butts much larger and thus more obvious.

V1 is the poster, the campaign, it fits your title. The other two are more to my taste as photographs though, they are the bigger picture. Neglect of self goes with neglect of the environment.

The message comes across to me much better in V1,straight to the point & unmistakable.
Love the 'Big C'...which in some circles is the 'name' for Cancer.
Plain & simple but well thought out.
The other two versions are not quite so straight forward & the message seems to get lost in the image for me.
