Mono for me too. Greater contrast, better separation of the various elements that make up the image, and just much more, in your face, impact!

The colour version conveys the sense of loneliness a lot more effectively I think.

The mono you would imagine would do better, but its brighter, and hasnt carried over that dull light look. The colour also has very little colour, and whats there is muted, - this also helps with the message.

If the mono was more gloomy, perhaps it would gain an edge.
