Way back in the autumn of 2007 the team I work in had a social event themed on Stars In Their Eyes and X-Factor. 8 colleagues volunteered to sing, do a comedy act, or perform. Alot of planning and preparation was involved and on the night it was a resounding success.

I was asked to photograph the event which was a bit unnerving as I don't usually do people. This is Ryan singing a Scott Walker classic (I forget which one). I was at the back of the venue (the Square Chapel in Halifax if anyone knows it) some way up next to the sound desk and the only illumination I had was the spotlight. I've had to do quite a bit of noise reduction as I was shooting at iso 800. Image has also been cropped to remove most of his torso to concentrate on his arm and head.

Any comments and/or critique would be very welcome.

Thanks.

Would work better if he was singing I think...?

Like the crop and clarity though Smile
