driving south through Montana to Yellowstone we passed Quake lake... we couldn't stop long, scrambled down a steep embankment to shore edge....all around skeletons of trees submenrged when the lake formed ofter an earthquake. The light was harsh and it was hard to capture the atmosphere and eerie beauty in the limited time. Tried to simplify but found it difficult to get to get a clean angle -wish I could have come back later for early morning shot...
