Here are 12 simple tips and tricks on how to shoot amazing car photography with your smartphone.

Photography tutorial gurus, COOPH are back and this time, they're using a smartphone (the Huawei Mate 9 to be precise) to take awesome photos of cars.
The team got a little professional advice from car photographer Bernhard Spöttel but if you don't happen to have a pro photographer on speed-dial, these 12 tips and tricks should get you started.
Some of the tips mentioned you may have already thought of, such as photographing the car against a plain background, but there will be plenty you've not considered. For example, parking the car at a 45-degree angle and on a shadow line to create interesting reflections. It's also important to remember that cars have interiors so don't overlook getting in the back seat and photographing the dash lit up with interesting surroundings framing the shot through the windows.
Other creative tips include creating a 'pano dash' which is where you switch to the panorama mode on your smartphone and get someone to drive the car around you so it appears in the same frame at various points. Shooting from high angles rather than the low angles is another tip given which seems simple but when photographing cars, many opt for getting low down rather than getting a bird's eye view on the scene.
There are plenty of other tips in the tutorial so sit back, watch the video then share your car photography results with us in the gallery.
