An international photography competition with the theme 'rooftops' has had some really eye-catching entries that show viewpoints of our World in beautiful ways.

From some of the most famous urban vistas on the planet, to lesser-known but fascinatingly observed viewpoints, the winning images are an eclectic mix of scenes that represent just a small number of the awesome views we can witness in our towns and cities.
