The 5th season of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award had its awards ceremony earlier this week where the winners of the competition were announced. 'Happiness' was the overall theme of the 2015-2016 competition but there were also three other categories: 'Wildlife', 'Father and Son' and 'General'.
With prizes valued at $400,000, it's easy to see why there are so many entries into this competition and you can see some of the winning entries below. The Dubai Photo Exhibition also opened this week, showcasing images from around the World in the Dubai Design District.
