3 Legged Thing have announced new versions of the Ellie L bracket, designed to allow better accessibility on smaller camera bodies and compatibility with Peak Design's Capture carry system.
| Misc3 Legged Thing have revealed new versions of the Ellie L Bracket universal bracket system designed to maintain the focal plane and a level horizon when switching from portrait to landscape on a tripod.
Joining the original Ellie will be a short version improving battery door access on smaller camera bodies and a version offering unique compatibility with camera clip systems including the Peak Design Capture v3 (a system that allows you to clip your camera to a belt or bag rather than using a strap).
In addition, 3 Legged Thing will also release two standalone base plates, which can be used as a quick release plate on its own offering a wider, stable base for DSLR users. BASE 85 is the original Ellie base plate, sold as a standalone product. BASE 70 is for smaller cameras and can be used to replace the BASE 85 on the Ellie L Bracket.
"It was always the plan to expand upon the Ellie System," explains 3LT Founder & CEO, Danny Lenihan. "The ultimate goal for any universal product is to make it truly universal, so this is a huge step forward."
