Following the success of its predecessor Docz, and having received an overwhelming amount of feedback from customers, 3 Legged Thing have released Docz2, a new version with dual ¼”-20 and 3/8”-16 threads to create compatibility with a wider range of products.
Docz2 is a rugged foot stabiliser which has been designed to add stability to monopods.
The rubber boot adjuster in the base of Docz2 also enables a smooth panning motion for action or sports photography. Docz2 features a built in ¼”-20 thread mount on the adjustable ball, giving users the ability to use it direct to camera as a table-top or low-level tripod for loads up to 20kg / 44lbs.
The ¼”-20 thread on Docz2 is welcome news for users of 3 Legged Thing Leo, Punks Brian or Punks Corey tripods as their detachable monopods are now fully compatible with the Docz2 foot stabiliser.
The supplied 3/8”-16 adapter allows users to mount a tripod head directly onto Docz2 and enables it to be used with monopods and tripods with a compatible foot thread.
Docz2 pricing & availability
Docz2 is available as part of a kit with both Alan and Trent monopods, but is also sold separately as a standalone product. The suggested retail price of Docz2 is £49.99 / $59.99 (US).
