Wieldy Swift-M

A company called Thanko / Sanko has released a 3-way electronic gimball camera stablisation device, called the Wieldy Swift-M, for DSLR and Mirrorless cameras, ideal for video recording. Priced at 98,000yen, (£530GBP at current exchange rates), the 3-axis brushless gimbal is powered by a number of rechargable lithium-ion batteries, and features a USB socket, as well as a tripod socket. The USB socket can be used to add accessories including LED lighting, or alternatively used to recharge a smartphone or other compatible device, such as a digital camera that accepts USB power sources, such as the new Sony Alpha A7S II

The device has a number of different operation modes: Follow Mode - the orientation of the camera follows the handle orientation. Lock Mode, the orientation of the camera is not fixed to the orientation of the handle. There is also a joystick control on the handle that lets you control the camera's orentation (pan and tilt). The device supports cameras up to 850g (with lens), and the battery is said to last up to 3 hours. Examples of cameras suitable for use with it include the latest mirrorless cameras including the Sony Alpha A7 series, Olympus OM-D series, Panasonic Lumix GH4, and others. An example of the effectiveness of the Wieldy Swift-M can be seen below:

Doesn't seem to be currently. I don't know what webrowser you're using but in Google Chrome there's an option to 'translate the page'. It's not always perfect but it does make it easier to read. Smile
