YouTube is an excellent resource for photography tips, tricks and ways you can take better photos without spending a fortune. So much so, we've searched for, and shared, quite a few really useful tutorials of late and this offering from Andrew Morrison has now been added to our list.

We love a photography hack, especially one that can save us some money, and in this tutorial, Andrew brings you not 1 but 6 of them.

On Andrew's list of tricks, you'll find advice on how to create lens flare from a flame and he also turns a book into a slo-mo slider as well as an iPad into a reflective surface for product photography. He recommends you use gear ties to keep everything tidy - an obvious point but one we all seem to forget so cables end up in a spaghettified mess, and he stores memory cards in what appears to be some sort of lens cap protection storage case. A business card takes us through to tip 6 and Andrew uses it as a simple device for directing light.

Check out the video then have a look at the other photography hack themed tutorials we have on site which include 'No Studio? No Problem. Hacks For Better Photography' and '4 Fun Smartphone Photography Hacks to Unlock Your Creativity'.
