Anne Geier is a professional dog photographer and with the help of COOPH, she has put together a list of 8 key tips and tricks you should consider next time you aim your lens at your favourite pet

Tips include shooting with fast shutter speeds to capture action, playing in shallow water to add a bit of splash and working at a dog's eye level to create a different perspective.

Having a dog (or a horse) ***** up his ears always makes a better picture. (perhaps use something that makes a strange noise)
