Sony has released the Sony Alpha 1 and the camera's capabilities have been demonstrated in a short film and sample photos shared by the company.
| Sony Alpha 1 in Mirrorless Cameras
Sony has introduced the Sony Alpha 1 full-frame mirrorless camera to its line-up with in-camera 8K video recording at 30fps, 4K 120fps video recording and high-speed 50mp, 30fps blackout-free shooting. There's plenty more on offer, too, which you can learn about over in our news section but to show you how a camera which can capture 50MP images and shoot video in 8K can perform, Sony has shared sample images over on its website and videos on its YouTube channel.
The above video features footage/stills captured on the Alpha 1 with various lenses but you'll have to click the settings cog to view the 8K footage (other resolutions, including 4K are also available).

Pricing & Availability
The Sony Alpha 1 Full-frame mirrorless camera will be available in Europe in March 2021 for approximately £6,500. Its nearest competitor is the Canon EOS R5 full-frame mirrorless camera which also offers 8K 30fps video recording but is priced slightly cheaper at £4199.
