A Beautiful Boreal Owl Capture Wins 'Photo Of The Week' Title

A fabulous shot of an Owl in its natural surroundings has been chosen by the ePHOTOzine team to win our 'Photo of the Week' (POTW) accolade this week. 

The Boreal Owl image was captured by site member jacques st-jean in Quebec and we love the detail and sharpness in the bird which is framed nicely by the out of focus wintery background and branches of the tree the Owl has chosen to rest on. 

You can almost feel the texture in the Owl's feathers while the eyes are pin-sharp, starring right at you with wariness and intent. Even the tree is interesting with its gnarliness and broken bark. 

It's a lovely winter-themed image that's also a beautiful example of nature photography - we love everything about it, well done!
