| Camera PhonesHuawei have announced that they plan to launch a foldable mobile phone at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona later this month. The above teaser was posted on their Twitter account.
Little is known about the handset, apart from that it will feature 5G and of course that it's a foldable device. It will be interesting to see what the camera capabilities of the phone are like - the presentation is scheduled at MWC for February 24th at 2pm Barcelona time.
Are folding smartphones the future?
Lots of manufacturers seem to be producing folding devices at the moment - the likes of Samsung are due to announce one very soon as well. But these giants won't be the first to release folding devices - lesser-known companies like Royole and Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi have already debuted devices, with single and double folds.
The market is predicted to take a turn for the flexible as more manufacturers want to be a part of the next evolution in smartphone technology - but how successful these devices will be remains to be seen.
