LomoMod No.1

Lomography has released a medium-format, customisable DIY camera made from cardboard that comes paired with a Liquid-Filled Lens - the first regeneration of a liquid-based Victorian invention.

Made from sustainable cardboard, the LomoMod No.1 has endless modification possibilities and can be constructed in matte black or with a UV pattern. Plus, there's a shutter and aperture module so you can capture long exposures as well as customisable aperture plates to create unique bokeh effects. The camera also has a tripod mount, PC-Sync and cable release socket.

Liquid-Filled Lens

As for the lens, you syringe the liquid of your choice and inject it into the circular dial, creating your own filter from any liquids.

LomoMod No.1 Specifications:

  • Available Apertures: f/11, f/16, f/19, f/22, f/27, f/32
  • Shutter Speeds: N (1/100), Bulb
  • Focal Length: 80mm
  • Film Format: attribute_value_120
  • Focusing: Fixed Focus
  • Focusing Distance: 2.5m to Infinity

Priced at £49, the LomoMod No.1 and Sutton's Liquid-Filled Lens could be a great Christmas gift for a crafty photographer. Visit the Lomography website for more information. You can also visit the Lomography Amazon UK store for film, books and other Lomo cameras
