A Photo Of Old Wooden Boats Bathed In Golden Light Wins 'Photo of the Week'

A beautiful landscape captured just after sunrise in Scotland that merges golden light with low overhanging cloud and rain has won ePHOTOzine's 'Photo of the Week' (POTW) title. 

The image titled 'Gold Relics Squared' was shot by hwatt and ePHOTOzine loves the colours, processing and have we mentioned the light that's in this image. The shapes and texture of the boats really stand out thanks to the lovely light highlighting them against the moody, soft and overcast background. 

The colour palette and hues are excellent as is the composition which allows your eyes to soak up the old boats before exploring the rest of the scene which has a subtle mood to it that gives the image an almost painterly feel. 

It's an image you can take a deep breath in front of and feel very calm, almost tranquil, and we're very happy to have awarded it our POTW.
