Adobe describe how they will support Apple Mac computers with Intel processors: Adobe describe how they will support Apple Mac computers with Intel processors
The FAQ which can be found here also contains details of how they intend to produce 'Universal Binary' versions of their software. Universal Binary versions will be fully compatible with older Macintosh computers as well as the new Intel based ones.

A few highlights of the FAQ are:
  • A Universal Binary version of Adobe Lightroom beta will be made available as a free download shortly
  • Abobe have so far only found one bug when running any of the Creative Suite 2 programs on the Rosetta emulation of Intel Macs. The server version of Version Cue will not run.
  • There will be no free Universal Binary update for users of any of the Creative Suite 2 applications.
  • The next version of Creative Suite will be designed to run on both old and new Mac platforms. There is no specific mention of an expected release date although they do offer a rough guide line of a release in 18-24 months.

I guess I won't be buying an Intel Mac for a while then.
Boyd - You can still use CS2 on an Intel Mac, you just have to use it with an Pre-Intel Mac emulater.

I guess I wont buy it for a while as well then....
CS2 has been out for about a year so I'd expect a new version around the middle of the year...

Actually CS2 has been out since last April so I wouldn't expect CS3 until the end of 2006/early 2007.
