Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 Review: Photoshop Elements 2022

Quick Verdict

Adobe Photoshop Elements is still a great choice for those learning what the world of photo editing is all about as it's simple to use and the guided edits make the process quick and easy to understand. Then, once they feel a bit more confident, they can use the 'Expert' section of the software to edit photos with a bit more manual control.

We still 'Highly Recommended'  Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 as it's an inexpensive, subscription-free way for beginners to hone their photo editing skills before looking at more expensive software such as Photoshop CC.

+ Pros

  • Easy to use
  • New Guided Edits
  • Plenty of automated features

Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 brings new automated and guided edits to users who want a simple and quick way to edit photos without having to pay a subscription but are the new tool editions worth upgrading for? Let's find out.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 Features

Adobe Photoshop Elements has always been a great alternative to more complicated, and expensive, photo editing software such as Photoshop which has now grown into something that's packed full of tools but could be daunting for some to get to grips with. With Adobe Photoshop Elements, you get basic but essential tools you can use to make quick edits before sharing them on social media or even use the guided edits to speed up the process even more. Plus, as it's not subscription-based and inexpensive in comparison to other software, this will interest those who prefer to pay just a one-off fee for things.

As with previous versions, Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 is packed with the essential tools you need to make basic edits with minimal effort on the user's part. To really see what the 2022 version has to offer, we'll be mainly focusing on 'what's new' so to learn more about the tools which have been available for a while, have a look at our past reviews

Personally, I'd say no as you still get a lot more control/options in LR than you do in Elements.

Never really got on with Elements - ok for general adjustments but not really up to more serious work particularly if you want to be able to print to a decent size and standard for exhibition or whatever.
