The test maps a person's individual type across three broad metrics:

• Basic temperament (introversion vs. extroversion)
• Thinking style (intellect-dominant vs emotion-dominant)
• Action style (ideas-oriented vs action-oriented)

The possible combinations of these traits then place an individual in one of eight distinct creative types.
