Press Release:
Annabel Williams Contemporary Photographic Training is pleased to announce an inspirational two-day event aimed at people who want their photography to be creative, exciting and rewarding whilst having the knowledge to take their skills to another level for exceptional results.

This award winning company will help you to build your confidence and eliminate any fears you may have with your camera. Photography should not be a scary experience and by discovering the Annabel Williams approach to capturing breath taking contemporary images whether it is a childs portrait or an amazing fine art image your photography will accelerate to a different level.

If you are serious about mastering the art of taking pictures creatively without fear or confusion then this workshop is for you. It will give you a detailed insight into what you need to know about your equipment as well as Annabels simple and inspiring approach to photography.

During the first day Annabel will give you a detailed insight into how to get the best out of your photographic skills whilst simplifying in a clear and concise way the technical knowledge that you really need to understand. The day will also cover lighting, backgrounds, angles and photographic techniques.

The second day you will be on location with award winning photographer Annabel Williams getting the best out of your equipment. Annabel will demonstrate how to compose an image effectively and creatively by getting you to look at things differently. She will give you a series of photographic exercises to enable you to perfect composition, angles, backgrounds and image cropping in camera. Whilst on location Annabel will demonstrate innovative, fun approaches to capturing the best informal photographs which she is renowned for.

You will explore in detail how to implement the shoot to sell approach by learning how to plan a photographic session professionally and unobtrusively.

At the end of the event you will leave with a selection of images captured by yourself for your personal portfolio and a wealth of ideas and inspiration to take with you to continue working with.

This event will take place in Staveley on 5th and 6th July 2006 and costs 595 (Exc VAT) per person.

595 + VAT, each, may eliminate fears we have with a camera, but only because we would be wondering if we have any cash left !!

My calculator estimates (and I've just put in a new battery)that this comes to just under 700,all but a 100 pence.

I've just had a friend who has spent a fortune on digital cameras that he's ended up at the Citizens Advice Bureau for info, why, nearly becoming bankrupt.

I wonder how many others are in this boat, been hearing all the scare stories, that they won't go to heaven, and about keeping up with Joe Jones next door, and the latest 5000pixels,all singing camera he's purchased.

...and now to spend another 'fortune' on learning how to shoot,I think not.

Though to be fair, talet will make more difference to your end images than equioment ever will, so in that sense it's cheaper than an L lens. That said, I do wonder just how much you can pick up on a two day group course. Makes the BIPP courses look good value.

You'll find this is geared at recruiting you to their year long bespoke program which will set you back at least 7k, nearer to 10k. Been there, done that.
