Just you

The Photo of the Week has been chosen by the team here at ePHOTOzine and congratulations go to ePHOTOzine member INK74, whose captivating environmental portrait image stood out from the crowd.

Here's why the team thought it deserved to win:

This is a well-composed image placing a traditionally dressed girl in the impressive but somewhat bleak Norwegian scenery. You can image the girl trying to make a life here and staring thoughtfully out to sea.

The blues, oranges and reds in her dress draw your eye to her and add a splash of colour to the monotonal landscape. The moody clouds and mountains in the background add a sense of foreboding tension to the image which further makes you wonder about the reason for her sitting on the rock.

It's a really spectacular landscape - the mouth of the water leads your eye into and through the image, taking in the wooden hut and mountains.

POTW winners currently receive a 32GB MicroSD card with SD adapter from Samsung. See all the images that have won the award in the POTW gallery
