Beautiful Artistic Image Of Pelican Awarded POTW Accolade: Zoo 005

A beautiful abstract image of a pelican has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week.

The image 'Zoo 005' by ePz member DeLone, was chosen by the team and here's why we thought it deserved the accolade:

This is an expertly cropped and lit image that is almost angelic. The bird gives the impression of being something alien with its majesty and bright orange colourings. It's a different and effective take on animal imagery.

The pelican has nestled its head into the feathers of its closed wings with the light highlighting their delicate and intricate texture. The light also creates a glowing effect inside the feathers as the orange beak reflects upon the plain surface. This is a mesmerising image that's worthy of a place on the wall.
