An atmospheric stone circle image has been awarded the Photo of the week accolade this week.
| ePHOTOzineAn atmospheric shot of a stone circle shrouded in morning mist has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade.
The image, entitled 'Beneath the morning mist' was taken by ePz member Tynnwrlluniau and here's why we thought it deserved to win:
This is a fantastic capture of this famous stone circle in the Lake District. The image has been framed well to place stones throughout the composition so that they are pleasing to the eye, keeping them the centre of attention but still leaving space for the foreground and sky, giving a sense of the scale of the place.
The fells emerging out of the mist in the background add to this feeling of the scale of the place, and the trees to the right further add different shapes and textures. The clouds in the sky lead you through the image. It's a really atmospheric capture that also gives the place a mythical feel.
Photo of the week winners currently receive a 32GB EVO MicroSDHC card with SD adapter courtesy of Samsung. See all the winning images in the POTW Gallery.
