Awesome Aerial Photo Chosen As Photo Of The Week: washed out

An amazing jet capture has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week.

The image, entitled 'Washed Out' by ePz member javam, caught the eye of the team and here's why we thought it deserved the accolade:

This is a superb image of a jet as it flies into the distance. The angle that the jet is flying at enables it to catch the diffused natural light from the sun through the clouds and accentuate its aerodynamic body shape.

The grey clouds used as the background help to accentuate the rich peachy and purple colours that are emanating from the thrusters and causing a heat wave to create interesting textures in the air.

This is a very monotonal image that almost looks colour popped because of the burst of colour from the flames. A fantastic image that shows the power of the jet as it flies away.

Photo of the Week winners currently receive a 32GB MicroSD card with SD adapter from Samsung. See all the images that have been awarded the accolade in the POTW gallery.
